Result 2: The target Protected Areas are operational to effectively combat wildlife and forest-related crime.
Product 2.1: The target PAs have all planning and management documents, including functional zoning for conservation and development objectives, and are officially implemented by the MEDD.
- Activity 2.1.1: Establish a collaboration agreement with project-selected partners to develop management plans.
Product 2.2: The target NPAs have sufficient and trained staff for PA management, enforcement of wildlife and forest legislation, and biodiversity monitoring.
- Activity 2.2.1: Train and strengthen the capacity of project partners.
- Activity 2.2.2: Conduct a biological diagnosis and ecological study of the project’s target species.
- Activity 2.2.3: Support management operations of the three PAs.
Product 2.3: The target NPAs have essential equipment and infrastructure for sustainable management and law enforcement.
- Activity 2.3.1: Select specific suppliers for the purchase of scientific materials.
- Activity 2.3.2: Purchase the selected equipment and infrastructure for the target PAs.
